The team is seeking an agile senior data scientist to serve as the data science leader for the team. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that bridges science to customer-facing products and solutions. It provides an opportunity to make a significant impact by taking the lead in building automated, intuitive and scalable data-driven products and solutions for entire AWS globally. In this role, you will dive deep into raw sources of information to get the most out of the data we have. You will be working closely with senior research scientists across the team to translate research and data insights into intuitive customer-facing products and solutions, work directly with customers to understand how data and mechanisms can help them solve their problems to build both short and long-term solutions, and use innovative data analyses and modeling techniques to inform hypotheses testing. You will be forming hypotheses, analyzing data using statistical methods, building predictive models and generating recommendations to address a range of business problems across the research team. You will be working with BIEs within and outside the organization to build new data pipelines to automate data ingestion and analyses. You will also be taking the lead in building new metrics to report the impact of our pilots/products/solutions in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).

This position provides an opportunity to interact with scientists, HR and business leaders at all levels across AWS. This position requires a solution-oriented candidate with a combination of deep business acumen, an analytical mindset, expert knowledge of building algorithms, customer-facing products and data visualizations.
